Best Albums of 2006: February

For the strength of January's releases, February was a quieter month for albums. I've mixed in a couple of albums that squirted out at the end of January. The Tunstall record was released in the UK in December, but not in the U.S. until February 6. February 8 saw the Grammy's with U2 winning five + 1 awards including Album of the Year (though released in November 2004), Song of the Year (Sometimes You Can't Make it On Your Own), as well as Best Rock Song, Best Rock Album and Best Rock Performance...Steve Lillywhite won the best producer award for his work with U2.

5. The Elected - Sun, Sun, Sun (iTunes)

4. Duncan Sheik - White Limousine (iTunes)

3. Willie Nile - Streets of New York (iTunes)

2. Beth Orton - Comfort of Strangers (iTunes)

T-1. Shawn Mullins - 9th Ward Pickin' Parlor (iTunes)

T-1. KT Tunstall - Eye To The Telescope (iTunes)

Molls, it's simple math:
easiest job in the world + most boring job in the world + iPod = massive amounts of time to listen to music.
